2.8 inch 128x64 Dot Matrix LCD Display with ST7565R Controller
The core secret of this 12.8-inch 128x64 COG display lies in the advanced COG (Chip on Glass) process - the key driver chip is directly and precisely packaged on the glass substrate. This revolutionary structural design completely eliminates the extra PCB and connection space required by traditional modules, achieves the ultimate compression of volume and thickness, and frees up valuable internal space for compact devices such as industrial instruments, portable medical devices, smart wearables, and microcontrollers.
This 12.8-inch 128x64 COG display module is a yellow-green backlight, equipped with a yellow-green STN(+) polarizer, and the display effect is dark gray fonts on a yellow-green background. This series of products is also equipped with a standard FPC (flexible printed circuit) interface with metal pins, providing a truly solder-free "plug and play" connection experience. Developers do not need to perform delicate and error-prone soldering operations, but only need to easily insert the FPC cable into the corresponding socket to complete a reliable electrical connection. This not only significantly simplifies the production and assembly process and reduces the potential failure rate, but also greatly facilitates subsequent maintenance and upgrades, especially in line with the needs of automated production and rapid iteration.
This 2.8-inch COG display uses an innovative transmissive display mode and has the ability to intelligently adapt to ambient light. When the ambient light is dim, the built-in white LED backlight can efficiently penetrate the liquid crystal layer to provide a bright and clear positive display (black text on a white background) effect, ensuring that key information always maintains reliable visibility in various scenes from the inside of a dimly lit industrial control cabinet to outdoor equipment in the shadow, ensuring stable operation in all scenes; when the display is placed in an environment with strong natural light, the image is reflected to the viewer under the effect of reflectivity, so that the viewer can also read the content clearly.
Users can flexibly choose different display technologies such as STN (super twisted nematic), FSTN (thin film compensation) or DFSTN (double film compensation) based on comprehensive considerations of contrast, viewing angle, response time and cost. The appearance color scheme also provides a variety of options, such as gray/blue, classic white/black, black/white, etc., so as to perfectly integrate into the overall design language of the device. Particularly considerate is the viewing angle preset function - taking into account the impact of the device installation position on the user's viewing angle (for example, looking up from the bottom of the console or looking down from the top of the instrument), the module can preset an optimized viewing angle of 6:00 (bottom view, suitable for devices installed above the user) or 12:00 (top view, suitable for devices installed below the user) according to the specific installation position, thereby ensuring that the end user can get the most natural and comfortable reading experience in any typical operating posture, effectively reducing visual fatigue.
