In this issue, we will take a look at display screens that are suitable for small household appliances. Common display screens used in small household appliances include digital tubes, broken code displays, and dot matrix LCD displays.

In the past, small household appliances used LED digital tubes for display, which consisted of seven segments. The segments were turned on and off to display numbers and letters. They could only display 0 to 9 and some English letters. They were very simple and low-cost. Other controls were achieved through buttons. Faced with the upgrading of modern industries, the era of digital tubes has become outdated.

Segment code LCD screens are the mainstream display in the small appliance industry and are widely used. The working principle is to display some fixed-position numbers or characters by turning on and off. It is relatively simple, has low power consumption, and displays richer content than digital tubes. The cost is also relatively low, but the content is fixed and cannot be changed at will. Due to the limitation of screen size, the amount of content is also fixed. In addition, there is a dot matrix LCD screen, which is currently a solution with good display effect and relatively low cost. The dot matrix screen is composed of many dots in a range. The dot matrix LCD images are composed of dots of a certain size, and these dots are arranged in an array. For example, 128 X64 is composed of 128 horizontal and 64 vertical dots. It can display rich colors and animations, but the pixels are relatively low. It is also the most commonly used display solution on small appliances.
