Product usage precautions

General precautions

1. Installation method

The LCD module's panel consists of two thin glass plates with polarizers that are easily accessible.

Because the module is secured using mounting holes on the printed circuit board, damage can occur. Care should be taken when extreme handling of LCD modules.

2. LCD Handling and Cleaning Precautions

When cleaning the display surface, use a soft cloth containing solvent (recommended below) and wipe it gently.

  • Isopropyl alcohol

  • ethanol

  • Trichlorotrifluoroethane

  • Do not use dry or hard materials to wipe the display surface, as this will damage the polarizer surface

  • Do not use the following solvents:

      - water

      - Ketones

      - Aromatic hydrocarbons

3. Pay attention to anti-static

The LCD module uses a C-MOS LSI driver, so we recommend that you connect any unused input terminals to VDD or VSS and do not input any signals before powering on. and ground your

Bodywork, work/assembly bench. and assemble equipment to prevent static electricity.

4. Packaging

The module uses LCD components and must be treated with caution.

  • Avoid severe vibrations and falls from high places.

  • Prevent module degradation. Do not expose or store it to direct sunlight or heat/humidity.

5. Operation precautions

  • Because of the higher voltage, the LCD must be driven within specified voltage limits, exceeding which will shorten LCD life.

  • Avoid using DC drives. The electrochemical reaction caused by direct current can cause the liquid crystal display to deteriorate.

  • At temperatures below the operating temperature, the response time will be extremely delayed, on the other hand, at higher temperatures, the LCD will display a dark color. However, these phenomena do not indicate malfunction or malfunction of the LCD, which would result in a return to the specified operating temperature range.

  • If you press the display area hard during operation, some fonts will appear abnormally, but they will return to normal after being turned off once.

  • The micro-exposure deposited on the terminal can cause an electrochemical reaction, causing the terminal to open.

  • It is required to be used under relative conditions of 40℃ and 50%RH or less.

6. Storage

  • Store in a sealed polyethylene bag so that fresh air from outside does not enter it, and without desiccant.

  • Place in a dark place away from direct sunlight or light. Maintain temperature within specified storage temperature range.

  • Do not let anything else come into contact with the polarizer surface when storing.

7. Security

  • It is recommended to break damaged or unnecessary LCD into pieces and wash off the liquid

  • Solvents such as acetone and ethanol are used to form crystals, which are then burned out.

  • When liquid crystal leaking from a damaged glass pool comes into contact with your hands, wash them thoroughly with soap and water.
